‏Objet : ICA Group on Archives and Human Rights
On behalf of the ICA working group on Archives and Human Rights, I invite all interested colleagues to join our group by signing up on the ICA web site: http://www.ica.org/groups/en/node/37. We would like this virtual space to become a tool for sharing ideas and professional information. A newsletter will soon be created and disseminated to all group members.
The working group was established in 2003 at the International Conference of the Round Table on Archives (CITRA) in Cape Town, South Africa, to ensure follow up and coordination of the projects arising from the Conference resolutions (for background see Resolution 3 in the following document: http://old.ica.org/new/citra.php?ptextid=resolutions&ptextannee=2003&plangue=eng). We plan to further develop this work by creating an extended network of archivists and organizations concerned by this topic at the Congress in Kuala Lumpur in July 2008.
